Shamrock Partners with Car Santa to Deliver Christmas Cheer
Shamrock Roofing and Construction is known for giving back to the community. Through their Roofs 4 Heroes program, Shamrock has given away one roof each quarter to veterans and first responders who have a need. Recipients are nominated by friends, acquaintances, or family members who know their story and know how much a new roof would help them and their families.
Cars 4 Christmas Delivers Holiday Cheer
On December 20, Shamrock Roofing partnered with Car Santa through his organization called Cars 4 Christmas to deliver 20 cars to needy families throughout the Kansas City area. Shamrock employees, led by operations manager Garen Armstrong, picked up the donated vehicles and delivered them to the Argosy Casino, where they were cleaned up, checked for mechanical soundness and safety, and then filled with groceries, cleaning products, child safety seats, gas cards, and toys. Says Armstrong, “It’s really great what Car Santa has put together here, and Shamrock Roofing is glad to be able to contribute any way we can.”
Celebrating a Long Relationship
Shamrock Roofing has been a friend and supporter of Car Santa – aka Terry Franz in real life – for many years. In 2017, Armstrong joined forces with Franz, who also manages an organization called Cars 4 Heroes, and began his own program called Roofs 4 Heroes. Shamrock Roofing now gives away a new roof every quarter to veterans or first responders who don’t have the means to replace their roof on their own and could use a little help. Shamrock donates the labor and many of the materials but also gets other businesses to participate by donating supplies, too. It’s a team effort that adds value to the community and makes a big difference for the men and women who have selflessly served our country.
More than Just a New Car
Having access to reliable transportation does more than simply make people happy. It also gives them the ability to have a better life and accomplish other goals. Mothers and fathers can now drop their kids off and pick them up from daycare or school. Parents can look for jobs because they have a reliable way to get to work every day. Other family members can get to doctors’ appointments because the family now has a vehicle. For the families involved, Cars 4 Christmas is about much more than just getting a new car.
Shamrock Roofing and Construction Looks Forward to a New Year!
Shamrock Roofing and Construction is proud to be a part of Car Santa’s efforts and looks forward to continued partnership with Cars 4 Heroes and Cars 4 Christmas in 2020. In the meantime, they’ll also continue to give away roofs through their Roofs 4 Heroes program. If you know of a veteran or first responder who could use a new roof, please nominate them here. Shamrock loves giving back to those who’ve given for our country.
