Shamrock Roofing And Construction To Present Veteran With Gift Of New Roof Replacement
LENEXA, KS (September 8, 2020) – Shamrock Roofing and Construction will present this year’s winner of the “Roof 4 a Hero” contest, 79-year old U.S. Navy veteran, Regina Carey, with the gift of a new roof replacement on Tuesday, September 15 at 9:30 a.m. (CT) at her home in Overland Park.
Nominated by her daughter, Kathleen Padelli, Regina is a widow whose husband served in the Navy until the 1980’s, served in the Navy from 1958, until she started her family in 1961.
“We are doing all we can to keep my mother in her home,” said Kathleen Padelli. “Her house has been hit by cars twice and repaired, and in the past few years, has had numerous repairs including a new A/C, new heater and mainline plumbing. We are so grateful she will now have a much needed new roof over her head.”
The contest, founded in 2017, honors our nation’s veterans and first responders.
“My father was a 23-year veteran who inspired me to help other veterans like him,” said Garen Armstrong, son of the founder of Shamrock Roofing and Construction, who will present Carey with the grand prize.
