Cars 4 Heroes and Shamrock Roofing partnered to give away a free roof to a veteran family in need on December 3rd, 2017! Shamrock Roofing a premium Johnson County Roofing Contract gives away a roof to a veteran almost every three months!
Shamrock Roofing’s owner whose Dad was in the military for 25 years is very proud of his father’s service and the service of other veterans. He wanted to support the men and women who keep this nation free. So he teamed up with Cars 4 Heroes to develop the “Roof 4 A Hero” program. The applications opened up on July 10th 2017 and closed on November 11th, 2017. Shamrock Roofing respected as one of the best roofers in Johnson County Kansas wanted to ensure people knew about “Roof 4 A Hero” so they also partnered with 101 The Fox to get the word out. Facebook campaigns were also run to ensure any family of veterans would be aware of the program.
The rules were pretty simple to enter:
- Recipient must be a veteran living in Johnson County, Wyandotte County, Leavenworth County, Jackson County, Platte County, or Clay County.
- Entrant must be honorably or medically discharged or active military
- Entrant must own their home and have insurance on it
- Friends, family, or the veteran may submit an entry for the veteran
On December 3rd, 2017 Bryan Moore won the free roof after being nominated by family.
